I am working on a Family Genealogy Group page for Facebook. In doing so I realized that I have a tremendous amount of photos. I decided to feature one a week. No, not everyone is “perfect” however, they are to me!
This week I am showcasing my maternal 2nd Cousin 5 times removed, Edgar Poe Anderson and his wife Louise K. Irvin. Edgar was a County Farm Demonstration Agent and the couple and their 12 children lived in Greensboro, North Carolina. This photo was taken about 1937 while Edgar and “Lou” were on vacation in Florida. They were dressed very fashionable, even sporting a hat. He was 84 years old and she was 79. Apparently Edgar’s job paid very well as this photo was taken while our Country was in the midst of the Great Depression. I can only hope to look this good when I am their age.
