Do you have a copy of McCartney’s ‘Virginia Immigrants and Adventurers 1607-1635′? Because on page 737 is an entry for Sackford Wetherell who came to Virginia on the Swann in 1624. You probably have the book and are aware of him already!
And since Wetherell isn’t the most common of surnames, am I correct to assume that Sackford’ is an ancestor in your Wetherell line?
